womens rights Design:No TitleWomen's suffrage had been brought up in Sweden's Riksdag several times around the turn of the century but voted down. By 1909 universal male suffrage was introduced which meant that they the only ones who were not allowed to vote, apart from women, were men who were in mental hospitals or in prison.
