He has long arms and legs and a quite haughty look with his head held high and a long straight nose! His glass eyes are most expressive. He was the childhood bear of Lillian Florence Smalley who was born in 1901. She had quite a traumatic start in life, see letter, and needed a friend like white teddy Lillian's

she is a large and well made 20” bear

fully jointed with original tiny glass eyes

He comes in a patriotic red sailor's jacket

She has had some serious damage to her paws and face including her eyes

an uncovered one is quite worn with some holes but she has retained her Chad Valley label

these bears would have been produced between 1915 and 1923
