Liberty of London - butterfly silk print with spice silk velvet emeraldThis drawstring bag is made from a piece of Liberty of London pure silk satin with a striking butterfly pattern. Combined with a spice silk velvet, this is a limited edition bag hand sewn by our seamstress in Czech Republic. It is lined with a black silk mix fabric. Please note that every bag of this type is quite different, as we cut from different places in the piece of fabric. Yours will probably not be identical to one of those in the photos but

The lid is marked with a date (we are not sure how to interpret "XII IXX" - possibly 1719 or 1790
