Growing in our gardens for over 30 years, the tree is only 7 ft tall and 12 ft wide. The leaves are a soft red in spring, darkening to plum red in summer. In the fall the tree puts on a show of sunset red hues. A wonderful tree for the smaller garden. Prefers sun partial shade in well drained soil. 3' tall x 3' wide in 10 years. Hardy to 20 degrees. USDA zone 5.
