Model 55 Armchair, 1951 TissoNiels Moller's Model 55 armchair was one of his earliest and most expressive works, designed in 1951 in the early days of operating his own factory: J. L. Moller Mobelfabrik in Odense, Denmark. The Model 55 and its armless companion the Model 71 evolved from Moller's collaborative design work early in his career with architect Arne Hovmand Olsen which were displayed furniture fairs such as Tidens Mobler Copenhagen and Mobelmessen Fredericia.
