Glen Albyn - First Cask 1979- Speyside - 25 year old 46% vol SMWSThis is bottle 49, from cask 5468. Distilled 24th June 1977. This distillery was sidelined in 1996. From old notes: citrus and very aromatic nose. On the palate, spice and citrus peel with an oak undertone. A lovely long herbaceous finish.

Not weak at all

quite complex and definitely worth the try

The pureness of the Chardonnay strengthens the fruitiness of the wine

oaky with lots of intense dark fruits

Grapes showed high concentration and sweetness but relatively low acidity

also nice notes of honey and ripe apples

but instead of distilled

with a similar south and east exposure

old cough syrup (menthol) and caramel

distill and raise the Jacques Denis cognacs

not affected by botrytis

with a high percentage of Glengoyne (produced in the highlands
