Tapu Jila and Jiljil - Penny K-Lyons, 2020 weavingThis is a big waterhole. Rain runs into the waterhole. This is good water. My people and my family lives in the desert for many years. When rain season comes the waterholes used to be full by rain. The jila (living water) never runs dry. The trees get green for the people sit under and the green dots represents grass. All the pretty colours are the seeds that fall from the trees

Our mothers too and parents collected stones

My Mother's country

Before rodeo times people ride bull for fun

The central figure is the spider

Trees with waterhole in the middle and pretty flowers all around the waterhole this is my mother and father country

They are found in billabongs and springs

Couple of cattle started to gallop west toward the main bush hide out

I used to get up early in the mornings
