Sold (1930) Nigela. For Sale £150 French Clown Bear"NIGELA" is a 1930 CHILTERN HUGMEE teddy bear with a working growler. Beautiful antique 1930s Chiltern Hugmee teddy bear is in excellent original condition. Nigela stands 18" tall and is stuffed with kapok with excelsior in her head. Beautiful, original painted back glass eyes are present. The outer stitches of her vertically stitched nose extend upward slightly. Mouth stitching is also in great condition and gives her a wide, enigmatic smile. She's

He has a poor-ish covering of mohair

with rare cinnamon mohair

He has 4 claws on each pad

Possibly made by Farnell soon after the book was published in 1908

clear and black oily glass eyes with large iris and brown painted backs

with plenty of thick golden mohair (99%)

She has a vertically stitched nose with the two outer stitches being longer than the rest

He is totally excelsior filled and has a great hump
